Who do we teach?
We will teach anyone that comes to us with an enquiry but our sponsored and part-sponsored places are very limited.
We believe that everyone has the right to safety in their lives but people are not always safe. There are those who would seek to serve themselves by harming others, by theft or assault. We train for the worst but hope for the best.
The Christian Founders of the Federation believe that your should “turn the other cheek”, but also believe that a person’s life is not truly their own, but given to serve God and worship Him. This means that if a person tries to take our life, it is neither theirs to take, nor ours to give. Ultimately, if it’s God’s time for us, there is no amount of fighting we can do to delay it or prevent death. But we are accountable for our own lives and training promotes health, discipline and stamina as well as presence of mind and many more attributes that can be used to make each person better for themselves and for God. Whether you take that skill and use it to protect yourself, to fight an attacker, to uphold the law, to serve others, or to do nothing with it other than to be fitter and healthier, that decision lies with the individual.
Our Shihan would rather let an evil person strike him twice than fight back, but will fight to the death to protect his family. As a retired bodyguard, he has been in that position and knows he is capable, though few can say the same with any certainty.
We have certified courses for people from all walks of life from basic self-defence and personal safety to bodyguard training and close protection. We have supplied services to police officers and civilians on behalf of Strathclyde Police, Self-Defence, Control & Restrain training for Security Guards, Social Workers, General Practitioners, Nurses (RGN & RMN), Paramedics, Bar Staff, School pupils, Anti-Bullying courses for kids and adults as well as Attitude Adjustment courses for organisations dealing with youths and young adults who are finding it difficult to direct and motivate themselves.
We also have extensive experience working safely and effectively in Primary and Secondary schools, providing training in all aspects of fitness, safety, team building, bully busters and martial arts.
It’s worth asking if we have courses to suit your profession. Click here for more information. |
